Before you start
Complete the installation preparations before running the installer. Installation needs administrative permissions and creates platform resources.
On Linux, inspect the installer’s Docker and networking output. On macOS, start Docker first. If IPv6 preparation fails, follow the displayed options; unattended runs cannot rely on interactive choices. See the networking FAQ.
Steps
Run the installer
curl -fsSL https://cdelivery.dev/install.sh | shTo explicitly select the address other servers use:
curl -fsSL https://cdelivery.dev/install.sh | sh -s -- --advertise-addr 10.0.0.10Replace the address with one assigned to this server and reachable by its peers. It is not a domain and need not be your browser’s public destination.
Open the dashboard
Open
http://SERVER_IP:9000; on macOS, normally usehttp://localhost:9000. An SSH tunnel uses its corresponding local address.Create the first administrator
For a new installation, enter your name, email, and password to create the first Admin. You will be signed in automatically and taken to Platform setup.
In Platform setup, you can set the platform domain and enable Insight, or go straight to the dashboard. Insight defaults to local storage with 90 days of retention. Manage these later in Platform settings and Insight.
A resumed installation preserves its account. Rerunning the installer does not reset passwords, erase accounts, or migrate an existing communication address.
You should see
- You can sign in with your administrator account.
- The server list shows the expected address and resources.
- You can open groups and Platform settings.

Troubleshooting
| Failure | Check |
|---|---|
| Downloads fail | DNS, outbound HTTPS, proxy, original error |
| Docker connection fails | Daemon, permissions, server version |
| Browser times out | Address, port 9000, cloud and host firewalls |
| Tunnel fails | SSH session and local port conflicts |
| Sign-in page appears after first setup | Sign in with the account you just created |
| Existing account cannot sign in | Recovery procedure |
Remove passwords and tokens before sharing diagnostic output. Configure a platform domain after basic access works.
